Khanum Syeda Asma ‘Abidi holds bi-weekly Dars sessions, Qur’an Study Circle for Girls and Ladies, in person or online and many other programs. Please login to https://al-kauthar.net/.
She creates short videos, organizes Zoom meetings via WhatsApp and phone-calls, answering questions from community women and youth addressing on various issues of life. She also launched the YouTube Channel, Alkauthar999, available on Instagram, intended to serve all sisters and welcome sisters from a;; faiths to join.
Khanum Syeda Asma Abedi is the wife of Hujjat ul-Islam, Saiyed Mehboob Mehdi ‘Abidi al-Najafi, resident ‘Alim of Islamic Education Center of Husaini Association of Greater Chicago. They have two children, Fatima ‘Abidi and Ali Mehdi ‘Abidi.
Khanum Asma ‘Abidi achieved her Master’s degree in Islamic Studies and Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and a diploma in Early Childhood Education from The Seneca College, Toronto, Canada. She spent five years studying at Madrassa-tul Qaim, Hawza Jamia-tuz Zahra Islamic Seminary, Institute for Islamic Beliefs, and at present continue her Hawza classes under reputable scholars from Qom and Mashhad, Iran.
She has served as a religious scholar, educator, orator and counselor teaching women of all ages about Islamic knowledge and its values. She delivered lectures and recited Majalis in Canada, and in USA at various Islamic Centers, such as, Al-Khoei, NY, Idar-e-Jaferia, MD, Masjid al-Hayy, FL, Astana Zahra, NJ, and multiple Islamic centers in Melbourne, Australia. She convenes monthly Dars at IEC Husaini Sisters Study Circle for ladies and youth.
Women holds and bear an important role in the family, home and society. She is a role model in many ways, as a daughter, sister, wife and mother. It is incumbent upon all women to persuade, practice and promote the teachings, rules and rulings of Qur’an and traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, blessings be with him and his Pure Progeny. The teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt, blessings of Allah be with them, are the luminous minarets of Divine Knowledge and their footsteps are the shining stars of guidance.
